Traditional Salt
Crystallized at the bottom of the pans, (the same pans where
the flower of salt is collected). This method of collecting
is traditional and occurs every two weeks, the natural salt
pans are situated in the Ria Formosa, the salt presents
characteristics, evident in the quality, showing the natural
chemicals and the purity and brightness of the white
crystals.
The
water of the Atlantic is rich in minerals and resources. The
salt is extracted in July and September by ‘Marnotos’ salt
workers, using solid wood rakes and collected in piles for
drying, then transported to the storage to protect it from
the rain and the dust until it is needed for packaging.
Again the consumer will have a 100% natural product, for use
in conserving meat fish and vegetables and in the
manufacture of butter and cheese, also good to use in
cooking.
