ITQI Award 2011

 The iTQi Superior Taste Award is a unique international recognition of taste quality. It certifies that the awarded consumer food and drink products have met or exceeded the taste quality expectations of iTQi juries composed by 120 top European Chefs, Sommeliers and beverage experts. The products are tested blind on their own merits following a strict sensory analysis process that guarantees total neutrality.

In 2011the products Sal and Flower of Salt were again rewarded with two stars by the jury ITQI. Since this is the sixth consecutive year that our product receives this distinction.
The 906 products from around the world analyzed only 661 were awarded, 381 of these received the same classification that our products.

In 2009, Rui Simeão was awarded a gold gallo's "Flower More Beautiful" (prize given to the flower of salt) for the oil GALLO following the celebrations of 90 years of the brand. This award was given by high society figures who named 90 companies that stood out in recent years but only the top 10 "Gastronomic Experiences of Excellence" were entitled to the prize.

 

The Jury of the ITQI has awarded the product Flower of Salt, the classification of two stars. Other members with classification are listed below: French Culinary Academy; Master Chefs of France; Master Chefs of Belgium; Federation of Italian Chefs; European Association of Chefs (Euro-Toques); Academy of Spanish Gastronomy; German Association of Chefs (VKD); Young Restaurateurs of Europe; and International Sommelier Association (ASI).


In 2007 the jury of the ITQI awarded both my products, the Flower of Salt and the Traditional Salt won the classification of two stars. Since then our products have always been winning, and winning most recently in 2010.

In 2009 the Confraternity of Gastronomes of the Algarve, Galardi, or products of Rui Simeão Tavira Sal Prize agri-food products in the Algarve. The distinction was awarded by the quality and visibility that this premium product provides the Algarve gastronomy.

 

 

This producer won an award at the BIOFACH fair in Nuremberg Germany in 2004 with an herb and flower of salt mix, it was awarded Juries Favorite.

This trade mark is registered and nominated for this producer, and since the year 2004 it has been necessary to produce a book of norms for production and quality, this by the producer, this then is entered to the Ministry of Fish and Agriculture. The department works in conjunction with the Institute of Industrial Owners to verify the trade mark and the location of origin of the product.

 


The Rotary Club of Tavira, elected RUI FRANCISCO NEVES DIAS the business man of the year 2005.
